Another year, and indeed a new decade is  upon us, and with it our best wishes to you all. As with every year, the air is full of renewed optimism and promise, and no more so than at the arrival of 2020. After a rather prolonged period of doubt and uncertainty, of elections and general politicking, we enter the year with at least a sense of renewed optimism, and the early signs of activity within the local housing market are certainly encouraging. This time of year does also provide an opportunity for some reflection on what the previous 12 month offered. I have to admit to entering 2019 with some concern about the prospects of what lay ahead, and the first three months did little to allay such fears, but with some hard work and a spring market, we started to see improvements across the board. By the summer it was clear from data supplied by the portals that we were consistently coming out as the leading agent in our KT20 area. Most instructions, most sales, fastest time from market to sales, and in 2019 we looked to beat our 2018 average of achieving around 95% of the asking price at the point of sale. In June we held our 13th Charity Golf Day, at Kingswood Golf Club, with our chosen charity being the amazing George and the Giant Pledge, where we raised some £11,000, bringing our overall total since we started the event in 2007 to around £130,000. We also enjoyed the second year of our main sponsorship at Kingswood Lawn Tennis Club, and with it continued growth in youth membership; we even created the inaugural Kennedys cup, awarded to the most improved junior, so we are thrilled to be encouraging youth to be playing this great sport. We saw improved market share across the full spectrum of the market, including within our letting and management department, and saw three new homes sites come to the market in the Autumn. And on that note, it was a privilege to be invited to the opening of the new Eagle House Bramley school at Walton on the Hill, having been the agents who acted in the sale of the school site after its closure in 2017; the legacy continues, what a great addition the school has made to the village landscape.

So all round a busy and unexpectedly buoyant year, that has given us a strong spring board with which to approach the challenges that await us. We are looking forward to being of service to you, whether it be selling, buying , renting, or maybe working with me on a possible development opportunity.
